angelina probst, disasterpiece   paintings | biography | exhibitions   angelina probst, the artist disasterpiece, was born 1986 in new delhi, india.   angelina is the eighth in a family of eleven children born to unconventional german parents. her mother tongue is english.   after leaving india in 1990 she spent her pre and elementary school years on tour all over europe, doing theatrical, musical and dance performances, and was home schooled on the road.   angelina attended a russian jazz- and ballet school, and in ukraine she took pottery and sculpture classes before moving to the usa.   at 14, after american high school, she spent a year in croatia choreographically leading a dance group and doing stage shows in camps for the refugees of former yugoslavia and raising money, finding donators for them.   in 2002 she left croatia by hopping on a night bus to germany where she started learning german, doing odd jobs and went to a private christian school.   2003 - 2006 angelina attended a graphic design school in karlsruhe, south germany.   the first half of 2007 she traveled around thailand, india, greece and spain, painting and designing jewelery out of trash from the beach and junk from the markets as well as freelancing with her mac while travelling before returning to germany and moving to berlin.   www.angelinaprobst.com
